A team of six strong horses pulls a sled through three feet of new snow on E. First Street in Cle Elum during the winter of 1915-1916. From November until April over 28 feet of snow fell on the upper Kittitas County communities of Roslyn, Ronald and Cle Elum bringing nearly all forms of transportation to a halt.
